Based in Dallas, Texas, Campbell Crates is an up and coming recording artist with a penchant for writing infectious tunes from relatable narratives. Inspired by internationally acclaimed Artists like Amy Winehouse, BØRNS, Muse, John Mayer, The 1975 and others. Crates’ musical journey began at the tender age of 7 as she worked her way towards her first live performance at just 9 years old.
Campbell’s newest releases, “Fall,” “Intoxicate Me” and “ALL YEAR BABY” are now available on Spotify, iTunes and numerous other streaming platforms. She is currently working on some film projects as well and her theme song “LULLABY,” which she wrote and performed for the short film “Echoes,” is available on these platforms as well.
Campbell has performed at numerous venues including The House of Blues, The Curtain Club, The Palladium Ballroom, Gas Monkey Live, The Gas Monkey Bar and Grill, Six Flags over Texas and The Gaylord Texan. She also enjoys performing stand-up comedy with Standing Tall Comedy Kids and Teens at venues including the Hollywood Improv, the Ice House Comedy Club, Flappers Comedy Club, The Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica and the Improv at Harrah’s in Las Vegas.
Greatly influenced by hardships and traumas, Campbell draws inspiration for her style and sound from personal experiences which enables her to invoke strong emotions amongst listeners. While many artists come across as one trick ponies, sticking to a specific genre, Crates has a unique, innate competency to ingeniously present musical messages across multiple genres while maintaining her brand’s consistency. Apart from being genre fluid, the artist’s ability to craft danceable rhythms catered to a plethora of audiences is one of the primary reasons Campbell Crates is so unique. With big dreams and plenty of energy to spare, Campbell seeks to positively influence society with her sound, in hopes of driving home the messages from her storytelling for years to come.
